Pupster Rescue is a dog shelter which required website, logo and identity design.
The focus of this site design was to make it cute and friendly, a reflection of the personalities of the dogs themselves, with the priority on finding potential adopters, foster families and volunteer candidates for the shelter, in that order.
A slightly larger, centered logo and navigation bar was employed to feel simpler and easy to digest.
A carousel was placed at the bottom of the homepage for testimonials, in order to reinforce the value and success of the adoption process.
The use of white space and circle motifs was meant to draw the viewer's eye in and create a sense of endless invitation. This was important to the design of the available animals' bio information, as a means to humanize them, more accurately mirroring what we see day to day in peoples' actual social media applications.
The most pertinent information was highlighted and made available to filter by, in order to focus the user on relevant facts and not lose their interest.
The rescue's reliance on volunteers and foster families necessitated various forms and applications to be devised and implemented, with the requisite auto replies. The emphasis with these was to keep them succinct, so as not to deter their completion, while also providing the rescue with as much information as possible prior to their determination regarding each.
A simple flow was utilized for the most basic way users could contribute to the rescue: donations. A prominent presence on the homepage and a quick and efficient checkout system was devised.
